More About Andrea

I’m a Registered Social Worker with a Master’s of Social Work and over fourteen years of experience supporting individuals and families. I chose to specialize in separation and divorce because I’ve been through it myself—and the support I received from a therapist changed the course of my life.

That experience showed me how transformative it can be to have someone in your corner during such a vulnerable time. Now, I offer that same compassionate, steady support to others beginning their own next chapter.

Beginning counselling doesn’t have to feel overwhelming. Here’s what working together looks like:

  • No. I work with individuals and couples. You can get meaningful support even if your partner is not involved.

  • No. Counselling focuses on emotional support, communication, boundaries, and coping. Mediation focuses on legal and practical agreements. My work can complement mediation but doesn’t replace it.

  • Absolutely. Healing, co-parenting challenges, and identity rebuilding can continue long after the separation.

  • Counselling can help you regulate your emotions, improve communication strategies, set boundaries, and create a plan to protect your wellbeing.

  • Yes. My practice is neurodivergence-affirming. I adapt tools to your processing style, sensory needs, and communication preferences. I specialize in cross-neurotype communication.
