Welcome—I'm Andrea Best

I’m a Registered Social Worker with a Master’s of Social Work and over fourteen years of experience supporting individuals and families. My path into counselling began during a difficult period in my own life. When I went through a divorce, I received support from a therapist who made me feel seen, grounded, and capable again. That experience changed my life—and ultimately shaped my career.

I understand how overwhelming life transitions, stress, and neurodivergent challenges can feel. You may be navigating changes, trying to understand yourself better, or simply looking for a safe place to land. Wherever you are, I’m here to support you with compassion, presence and practical tools.

Why Work With Me

My work is grounded in the belief that people thrive when they are understood, respected, and supported in ways that honour who they are. This is why I specialize in ADHD, separation and divorce, and stress management—areas where I’ve seen people deeply misunderstood or overwhelmed.

I bring training in trauma-informed practice, neurodivergence-affirming therapy, mindfulness, CBT, strengths-based approaches, anti-oppressive practice, family mediation, and narrative and solution-focused therapies.

If you’re unsure about therapy, that’s completely normal. You don’t have to commit to anything right away. My hope is that through our work, you’ll feel less alone, more grounded, and more equipped to move forward in ways that feel aligned with your values.
